A very strange phenomenon photographed from my front garden in Carterton at 21:10 on 14 July 2007. The setting sun behind me was illuminating these cumulus clouds giving them an eerie orange glow, contrasting with the dark sky beyond. This strange effect only lasted a few minutes. This is exactly what it looked like, with no manipulation in Photoshop!
