Horncastle House viewed from the former kitchen garden. This Edwardian house was a school from 1950 until 1983. When this photo was taken on 28 July 1984, it had just be converted into a nursing home, a role it still fulfills today. However, this view would be impossible to duplicate today, as a large modern building stands on the site of this garden, also replacing the former play hut on the right.
